HIFU is a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment for skin tightening which uses high intensity focused ultrasound rays. It is a clinically proven treatment for lifting and tightening the skin, however it is quite different from the light used in IPL, Lasers and Radiofrequency. This treatment improves the structure of the deeper skin layers known as dermal or foundation layers of the skin. Hence, it makes your skin naturally supple, plump and glowing. It is a focussed ultrasound treatment used for skin lifting without using any invasive procedure . USG gel is applied to the target area before contact between the hand piece and skin .
The duration of the treatment depends on how large or small area needs to be treated and of course the specific requirements of your skin. HIFU treatment for face and neck will usually takes almost an hour. The results may take upto 90 days .The treatment effect may last from 1-1.5 year. Indication of HIFU include sagging cheeks, facial oval and jowl sagging , treating wrinkles and loosening fat in neck area. After the treatment, you can immediately go back to your normal activities, as there are no special post-treatment measures to be followed.
